• Played JV and Varsity Volleyball for Quincy High School (Team captain)
• All League Selection as a Junior & Senior
• Played for the Sierra Nevada Volleyball Club, competed at the Volleyball Festival in both Reno, NV and Sacramento, CA
• Played for the Appenzell Volleyball Club in Switzerland
• Played college volleyball at Feather River Community College, was ranked in the top 25 in the state for serving and top 50 for kills
• Played 4 years of Varsity Tennis and 3 years of Junior Varsity and Varsity Basketball, 10 years of competitive swimming
• Taught swimming lessons for 2 summers
• Assistant Coach of volleyball camps at Feather River Community College
• Refereed High School Volleyball at both the Junior Varsity and Varsity level
• Solana Beach Volleyball Club coach 2007-2009 for 12’s Local Level Team

Torrey made her way to San Diego from the small Sierra Nevada mountain town of Quincy, California to attend UC San Diego, she fell in love with the beach and found it hard to leave after graduating with a B.A in International Studies. Torrey has been working at UC San Diego in the Office of Development since 2005.

Torrey has always enjoyed working with kids, especially through sports, which is why Solana Beach Volleyball Club has been one of the brightest spots for her over the past few years. The most rewarding aspect of being a coach is witnessing how volleyball develops confidence for young girls on and off the court, which is something they will take with them long after the season is over.
