• Played 4 years at Archbishop Mitty High School located in San Jose, CA (state champions: 2003- 2004, Honorable mention all-league, Mercury News All-Central Coast selection)
• Played club for City Beach (3 years, Bronze medal: 2000, Gold medal: 2001 at Junior Olympics) Vision (3 years) and Golden Bear (1 Year)
• Named one of Prep Volleyball's 2004 "Defensive Dandies," placing her among the nation's top-25 defensive specialists
• Played for Division 1 Loyola Marymount University for one season and then club that following spring (2005)
• Played at Santa Monica College (first team all conference- 2008)
• Played for California State University East Bay (2009-2010)
• Graduated from CSU East Bay with a degree in Liberal Studies, emphasis in Childhood studies
• Coached at South Valley volleyball Club- Assistant Coach 15-1 (2008)
• Coached at Payes Performance in San Mateo, CA- Assistant Coach 14-1, Finished top 15 at Junior Nationals (2011)
• Coached at UCSD volleyball camp (2011)
• Assistant Coach at UCSD Women's Volleyball (2011-present, works with serve receive/defense, serving zones, and plans travel arrangements and itineraries)

Katie is originally from San Jose, CA.  She recently moved down to San Diego to enjoy the sunny weather and pursue her coaching career. In addition to joining SBVC, she was named the assistant coach at UCSD women's Volleyball in July. She works with serve receive/defense, serving zones, and helps run daily practices. She also plans and organizes trip itineraries and plays a big part in recruiting. She has always dreamed of being a teacher, but recently discovered the world of Pediatric Occupational Therapy. She would love to become a licensed OT and hopes to attend graduate school within the next couple years. When she is not coaching, she tries to be at the beach as much as possible, whether it's playing beach volleyball, surfing (which she just learned!) or taking her border collie to dog beach. She is looking forward to becoming part of the Solana Family and having a great upcoming season!
