2008-2009 Tryout Information

Welcome to the 2008-2009 Solana Beach Volleyball season. We are excited to welcome back returning players as well as meeting new players and families. This season SBVC is once again planning on having 15 teams. We will continue to have practices at Santa Fe Christian School (SFCS), Del Mar Sports Center and LA Fitness in Encinitas but we have also added the San Diego Jewish Academy (SDJA). This school has a brand new state of the art gym with access to volleyball specific training.
 

 Southern California Volleyball Association (SCVA) states that clubs must offer tryouts within the following time frames and guidelines:

-Divisions 14 & under: On or after October 1, 2008 with a commitment date (defined as obtaining any type of deposit) no earlier than October 20th.

-Divisions 15 & 16 under: On or after November 9, 2008 with a commitment date (defined as obtaining any type of deposit) no earlier than December 1st.

-Divisions 17 & 18 under: On or after November 15, 2008 with a commitment date (defined as obtaining any type of deposit) no earlier than December 1st.

CIF rules also state that high school players may not try-out while still in the midst of their season or play-offs.  You must contact us if you would like to be considered for a team, but are unable to attend try-outs due to this rule.
